Dr. Fran Levin Bowman is currently Director of Bowman Educational Services, Inc. and MultiFlex Educational Services with offices in New York, Connecticut, Maryland, Virginia, and California, where she works primarily as an Educational Diagnostician, College Counselor, and Teacher Trainer.   She is the author of Bowman’s Orton-Gillingham “Plus” Guidebook and co-author of the Modelosophy Writing Program.    She is a co-developer of OgStarReading, a reading game app for students in grades K-8.  Dr. Bowman was a former President of the International Dyslexia Association, MD and a former Vice-President of the Learning Disabilities Association, PA.  She is currently a Fellow in the Academy of Orton-Gillingham Practitioners and Educators. 

Dr. Bowman has been a recipient of the prestigious R.M.N. Crosby Award, a lifetime achievement award, given each year by the Learning Disabilities Association and the International Dyslexia Association, to one distinguished educator in Maryland.  Fran is a member of the Excellence in Government Group, which investigates and ensures accommodations for dyslexic adults who are working in governmental agencies in Washington, D.C. 

Dr. Bowman is a speaker for the Decoding Dyslexia movement and the Right to Read movement, and trains teachers and parents in techniques for managing ADHD, Executive Dysfunction, Written Language Disorders, Reading Disorders, Non-Verbal Learning Disorders, and Montessori Learning Systems.  Dr. Bowman is also a researcher who has examined the effectiveness of specific learning strategies in school settings.
